ABOUT

BELIEF #1

You don't have to have everything figured out to take the next step.

BELIEF #2

I believe real change happens through small, intentional practices, not perfection.

BELIEF #3

I believe you deserve to understand yourself with the same compassion you so often give to everyone else.

I'M DAYNA

I’m a true Cancer. I love hard, care deeply, and genuinely want the people in my life to be okay. I’m loyal to my core, deeply empathetic, and probably a little more emotional and moody than I’d like to admit.

I’m smart, but I’m also down to earth. I can appreciate the finer things in life and be perfectly happy keeping it simple. I love to travel, I can be a bit of a scaredy-cat, and if you cross me, well… it might take a while to find your way back in.

But underneath all of that, I’m just someone who believes people matter. Their stories matter. What they’ve been through matters. And how they feel in their own lives matters.

So while you may know me as a therapist, coach, and creator of Small Steps, Quiet Mind, I hope you’ll also get to know me as a real person. Because that’s how I show up for the people I work with: genuinely, honestly, and with a whole lot of heart.

 MY STORY

For years, I thought being okay meant being able to keep going. As a therapist, I spent my career helping people understand their emotions, navigate difficult seasons, and find their way forward. But somewhere along the way, I realized that knowing what to do and actually feeling able to do it are two very different things.

I began to see how often we expect ourselves to simply push through, figure it out, and keep moving, even when our minds and bodies are telling us something different. I also realized that change doesn't usually happen through one big breakthrough. It happens through small moments of awareness, practice, and choosing a different response. That's the whole idea behind Regulate, Reframe, Respond, the same sequence I now teach: your body has to feel safe before your mind can do anything with a different response

That realization became the foundation for Small Steps, Quiet Mind, and the work I do today. I believe calm isn't something we finally achieve when life gets easier. It's something we practice, right in the middle of real life.

If you're ready to stop getting taken out by your own mind and start understanding yourself differently, I'm here to help you take the next small step.
